Solomon Shields serves as Managing Partner for IronBridge Advisers.

Before IronBridge Advisers, he served as Managing Director for Nasdaq, responsible for Corporate Development in Markets, Technology, and Data for over a decade. During his tenure, he turned around the Data business with the creation of the Buyside Data & Analytics business, which included the acquisition of eVestment, Solovis, and Quandl. Alongside Data, Solomon created the Anti-Financial Crimes Technology business which lead to some of Nasdaq’s largest acquisitions, Verafin and Adenza, and expanded Nasdaq’s relationship with the US Intelligence Community, AT&T, and AWS. Initially, he created Nasdaq’s global Futures Exchange (NFX) which became the 3rd largest in the world, selling to Deutsche Borse, 7 years after breaking ground.

Prior to Nasdaq, Solomon served as Head of Risk for NECC, a physical commodity trading and clearing house in Chicago. He earned his master’s degree in statistics at Illinois Institute of Technology and bachelor’s degree in applied economics from Coastal Carolina University.
